I'm so excited to have this band back in 2006 after they delivered 2 awesome shows in 2005. If you haven't already heard them, you really really should!

Let me start by saying they are movie stars. There is a feature length independent film all about them. Let me add that they were voted the "Best Band for the New Depression" by the Bay Guardian, and that they are Wammie nominees.

So what should you expect? Well, they are a quintet: all string instruments plus clarinet. They specialize in long-forgotten musical gems of the 1920-30’s often called "Tin Pan Alley" or "Americana". Every song they play makes me want to dance. Their repertoire is vast, and their range is ideal for both relaxed Lindy and gentle Balboa. Oh, and best of all, they love playing for dancers.

Read a little more about the band at their site www.angelfire.com/jazz/friskyfrolics. Or, go directly to their movie site at www.friskyfrolicsmovie.com.
